The family of a 19 year old Cherry Ridge Road resident, James McCormack is concerned about his welfare. McCormack was last seen by his father on the night of December 4th. James stated he was going out to the bars, but did not return home. This behaviour is considered out of character for James. Attempts by his family to contact him using social media have failed. McCormack is described as a Caucasian male who is 6'4", 180 pounds with a thin build. He has medium length, brown wavy hair and wears glasses when driving.

Missing Person

Police Release Robbery Details
City police are out with new details concerning an overnight robbery at a Mac's convenience store on Simpson Street. Just before midnight, a masked man carrying a knife entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect made of with some money. The clerk was not injured. Police are looking for a Caucasian man approximately 5-foot-6 inches tall with a medium build with blond short hair. He was wearing black and white checkered pants, a grey hoodie and a blue toque. He had a Toronto Maple Leafs bandanna covering his face and he was wearing ear phones. Still no sign of missing teen
Thunder Bay Police are still looking for 15 year old Jordan Wabasse. He's been missing for a week. The Webequie First Nation teen was last seen Monday evening getting off a transit bus in the area of Holt Place and Mary Street. Police say he lived in a boarding house in that area. Police publish robbery pics
Thunder Bay police are releasing surveillance photos of a robbery last week. They are hoping to keep the case in the public eye by publishing the images of a masked and seemingly armed man. He is seen entering the Northern Lights Credit Union Friday afternoon. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Credit union robbed
Thunder Bay Police are saying a man robbed the Apple Community Credit Union on North Cumberland Street yesterday afternoon. A tall man dressed in a grey sweatshirt, a black mask and a tilly hat pointed a gun at staff and demanded cash. The suspect then left the scene in a minivan that has been described as either grey or silver with an undisclosed amount money.

Police on the lookout for a missing girl
Thunder Bay Police are on the lookout for a missing 12 year old girl. Shae-Lynn Masik was last seen yesterday evening when she left her house on Rupert Street. Anyone who has information on her where abouts are asked to call the police.

Drug bust in Conmee
Two men are charged after a drug bust in Conmee Township on Thursday. After a raid on Enders Road, police say they found marijuana plants, seven pounds of dried marijuana, magic mushrooms, and cannabis resin totalling over 100-thousand dollars. Police say the men will appear in court in August.

May St. Mac's Robbed Again
Thunder Bay Police are investigating another robbery at the Mac's Mart on north May Street. Early yesterday morning, a man armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes were taken. The man is described as approximately 30 years of age, Native with a scruffy face, and wearing a black hoodie and black pants with a white stripe. The male left the store on foot. Police have been unable to locate the suspect.

Another armed robbery on City's southside
Thunder Bay Police are looking for one man who robbed a Mac's Mart at gun point this morning. Officers say the man entered the store on North Edward Street at around 2 o'clock. They say he produced a handgun. No one was injured and the suspect ran off with cash and lottery tickets.

No arrest in credit union heist
Police still have not made an arrest in the Apple Credit Union robbery last Friday. They say witnesses saw the suspect escape in a newer model silver or gray mini van that looked similar to a Pontiac Montana. It was last seen speeding away west on Clark Street.

Slain constable to receive another honour
The Current River Bridge on Highway 11-17 is going to be named after a police officer who died in the line of duty. Saturday officials will dedicate the bridge to the memory of City Police Constable John Kusznier. He died in a shooting in the parking lot of a north side hotel 30 years ago. The ceremony will take place at the Terry Fox Lookout at 11 am.

Body found in the Goods Road area
Thunder Bay Police have identified the man whose body was found in a drainage ditch over the weekend on Goods Road. They say it's that of 60 year old Kenneth Berg. He was the mental health patient who was reported missing in October after wandering off from the Regional Health Sciences Centre. Police say the body was in a ditch that was filled with water and was discovered after the water was drained Saturday afternoon. Police say foul play is not suspected.

Police looking for drug store robber
Thunder Bay Police are looking for a man who robbed a North Edward Street Drug Store. Police say the man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart Sunday and walked out with a quanitity of prescription drugs. The suspect appeared to have a handgun.

Thunder Bay police looking for missing man
Thunder Bay police are asking the public for help in finding a missing man. 49 year old Donald Potan has been missing since Thursday and requires daily heart medication. Potan is 6 foot one, and was last seen wearing a brown baseball cap, blue jeans, brown and black fleece and white runners.
