Six New Officers Sworn In
There are now six new city police officers who have sworn to keep the peace. They were sworn in at an afternoon ceremony at the Provincial Court building on Arthur Street. Justice Dino DiGiuseppe presided over the event. The six are: Brydon Beck, Michael Coehlo, Trevor Dunn, Carl Hagstrom, (John) Jarret Hay and Kyle Kehler.

Border Cats Open Last Homestand
The Thunder Bay Border Cats are back at Subway field tonight to start their final 3 game homestand of the regular season against the Duluth Huskies. The Border Cats are 14-16 in the second half in the North Division with just five games left in the season. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
